12th St., Beach. It’s a nice place to cool down in a hot city just adjacent to the museum area of Chicago. This little gem of a beach is a great spot for an afternoon picnic or a full day of playing and swimming.
Sanders clean the water is clear the lifeguarding is good and there’s even a little snack shack to get some treats for a long hot day
Great spot to take iconic pictures, especially on foggy days since you can take “ghostly” pictures of the city from this spot.
I really liked this beach a lot! So close to south loop and it was really enjoyable!! We walked from planetarium side and took taxi to go back, it was very convenient! Beautiful blue water!!
Great place to enjoy the beach. You have to pay for parking and they do have bathrooms ( I don’t like the bathrooms. They are very dirty) other than that this is a great place to come and have fun with the kids m. They also have a taco stand that’s great.
This is my favorite spot in all of Chicago. The beach is the best in Chicago. It's so relaxing, amazing history there too. Abundance of beach glass and old cool bricks too and by far the best view of Chicago skyline. Truly breathtaking spot
Beach is not that big but big enough to have of fun. Great location. Parking could be Challenging due to tourist spot. You can buy ice cream and some snacks near by. Lots of area for picnic. Restrooms are not clean and I would avoid here. Life guards on patrol. Overall very good place to visit.
Great little beach with a handful of attentive lifeguards. But one of the male lifeguards was cursing aloud with his friends near children.
Must visit.
